Provides EMERGENCY monetary assistance for: |
RENT - Guests must have an eviction notice and a means of sustaining themselves during the months ahead. An average of $250 is given in one time assistance. |
UTILITIES - When denied assistance by the LEAP program, guests may apply to our utility assistance program that is primarily funded by the Energy Outreach Colorado Foundation. A guest may be funded one time between November and October. Through the months of May to October, Catholic Outreach is the only agency in Mesa County offering utility assistance. |
MEDICATIONS - Persons with no insurance and with referrals from another agency or a doctor are assisted in getting medications on an emergency basis. |
TRANSPORTATION - Bus tickets are available for emergency situations. Gas vouchers are available for persons stranded in Grand Junction. |
ID's and other documents - Assistance is given to persons who are homeless in obtaining ID's or other documents. |
